No Such Thing As The RIGHT TIME [by Ade Adejumo]

I remember one default saying we always tell ourselves on our shitty days or whenever we seem to come off short of an expectation to be “It’s probably not the right time yet.” But more often, the one question we all seem to fail to ask ourselves, perhaps in a bid to evade the reality staring us straight in the face is: “Is there a right time for anything? Or is there just the time that happens.” I for one tend to lean towards the latter, I have a bias to believe that there is no such thing as the RIGHT TIME, but rather there is… just THE TIME.
I know this idea would seem somewhat confusing, and even to some, it might seem redundant. But like we all casually say these days “walk with me.” My thought process in sticking with the latter stems from the fact that if there is something as “the right time”, ultimately, we would all be individuals jolly-riding [and we all know we ain’t doing that] and waiting on our right time and rightly so. Consequently, whatever we tend to do during our supposed waiting period will not influence our future success when the right time eventually comes. In other words, our actions or inactions would not be a factor when the right time comes.
So, sticking with the right time narrative, what we mean when we say this is invariably the right time is a sovereign entity that comes at a precise instant regardless of whatever events or actions have occurred. There is usually a hint of a higher power stitched into such narratives for most folks who lean towards this idea. Nevertheless, most of us would agree that this is a farce since even the worst of us can attest that our actions or inactions most certainly influence the outcome of whatever occurrence they are imprinted on.
On the other hand, having the thought process that there is just THE TIME for something gives you a certain control over instances or happenings you would have rather left to chance. And with this comes the strength to bear the punches of falling short, exuding the confidence of hitting the mark. This means that believing [if this can be counted as a belief] in just the time would be a deliberate function of our actions and inactions. And with this in mind whatever opportunities we maximize would have all our conscious efforts imprinted on it.
Cheers!
